May 1 - 2: Cassina Garden Walk
4th Annual Tabby & Tillandsia Garden Walk Weekend
The Cassina Garden Club welcomes Spring by hosting the fourth annual Tabby & Tillandsia Garden Walk Weekend, May 1 through 2, 2010 to benefit the preservation and maintenance of the circa 1804 tabby slave cabins on beautiful and historic Gascoigne Bluff on St. Simons Island.
Date: Saturday & Sunday, May 1 & 2, 2010
Times: Saturday May 1, 10am - 5 pm
Sunday May 2, 1pm 5 pm
Place: Sea Island and St. Simons Island, Georgia
Event Highlights include:
• Garden Tour 8 Spectacular Gardens on Sea Island & St. Simons Island, GA. Docents will be in each garden to highlight unusual plant material and garden art. Several gardens will feature local artists painting the landscape and performances by musicians.
• Garden Market
The Tabby & Tillandsia Garden Market featuring a wide variety of plant material, garden accessories and art from vendors throughout the Southeast will be held under tents on the lawn of the Cassina Garden Club on the banks of the Frederica River at Gascoigne Bluff.
• Floral Photography Exhibition
A Juried Floral Photography Exhibition will be held in the Tabby Cabins by the Garden Market. Both the Photography Exhibition and the Market are free and open to the public.

Brunswick Arts & Crafts Festival
Mary Ross Waterfront Park

This festival will be featured alongside the docks in Mary Ross Waterfront Park where they will also be holding the Blessing of the Fleet in Brunswick, Ga. This event has been taking place for over 60 years and draws a large amount of participation. Mary Ross Waterfront Park and the adjacent Brunswick Landing Marina play host to a variety of festivals and events throughout the year. The park and marina, the antique and specialty shops, galleries and restaurants and the beautiful and extensive historic residential neighborhoods are all located within the Old Town Brunswick National Register Historic District.
